Jacqueline and Gil threw a one-of-a-kind destination wedding weekend in London for their friends and families, who travelled from both the US and the UK.

The welcome night happened at The Cadogan Arms, a renowned gastro pub in the heart of Chelsea. Its well-kept old-world charm was the perfect backdrop for an evening full of primary colours, mod vibes and 60’s music. Artist Hamish Powel listened carefully and created all floral displays right ‘on theme’ for us. To take things even further visually, we used vintage oil projectors to ‘spice up’ the walls and ceilings. Amongst all this, tray-served finger food and strong drinks were flowing, toasts were given and everyone left excited for day two.

The morning of the wedding started at the Stafford Hotel, where we hosted the getting ready of the bridal party.

For the ceremony and reception, we welcomed guests to The Reform Club in London – one of the most beautiful buildings I have ever seen in this country. Because the interior and surrounding gardens are just so beautiful already, we decided on a complementary colour palette of burgundy, green and blush for the day, plus some browns, to tie in with the season.

With the couple’s love of all things whimsical and British, we incorporated little nods to this across all different parts of the day, including the three different bars, sweet and savoury grazing tables and even the cake. And of course, a quintessential English garden outdoor wedding ceremony!

The evening ended on the dance floor, of course, where a 10-piece Motown and Soul band from ALR music quite literally set the energy on fire.

What a night, what a weekend, what a brief.
