An intimate and moody-chic late summer black tie wedding in the heart of Covent Garden in London.
Martha and James, where shall I begin… One of the kindest and most enjoyable planning processes since the start of HILDE. Their Nomad London wedding is one of the team's all-time favourites.
As soon as we landed on The Nomad Hotel as the venue for their ceremony and reception, the design just fell into place. We decided on a simple yet chic ‘single variety’ floral design for their city wedding – in-season Chrysanthemums, to be precise.
With the couple already legally married in California, the symbolic ceremony was conducted by Martha’s two elder brothers, surrounded by only their 12 nearest and dearest, embracing the venue's intimate atmosphere.
We served four very personal signature cocktails throughout the day and evening, with the evening ones being slightly stronger, as you do.
The dinner setup doesn’t need an introduction; it just felt so right for where we were and how the pair envisaged their big day. Floral-free tables were lit by runners of black pillar candles, which suited the black-tie city wedding vibe perfectly.
All efforts for flowers were instead focused on the dressing of the large stage in the room, further enhanced with mirrored plinths and a sea of uplights.
